I'll hook you up with some numbers and things. I'll try and refind the head-in-lap-thing (which in the interest of fairness, I should point out is father/son symbology - it's the last thing Scott remembers of Corsair before the plane crash, falling asleep with his head in his lap *g*) - it's in one of my flatmate's issues. :D *will CLEARLY have to reread everything*
Yeah - I've heard that first one, though not the second. And what the HELL, Emma doesn't give him the cold shoulder when they have problems? Buh? I... what? Emma's happier than Jean to let him bottle things. Jean's the one who always >:0ed at him and made him actually tell her what was wrong, a lot of the time. In NXM, especially, when she just dressed him down for being self-centred. And the fact remains that Scott. Was. Mindchanged. Into. Being. With. Emma. Gah.
And omg, I may have to quote you on my userinfo for that part. :D!
Endsong... has... some good moments. The Phoenix saying that Jean longs for Scott. Scott pretending that Emma is Jean. The final moment of goodbye between Scott and Jean - the let me see your eyes, where I think it's pretty obvious that they're still all *floaty hearts* about each other, and always will be. But it felt too much like a HEY LOOK SCOTT/EMMA IS GREAT bandwagon for my taste.
