A pimp and rec for the RPG that's eating my brain these days, and I will swear to you that I don't mod it, that it's even flamewar free and not related to [livejournal.com profile] imperius. In fact it's not even HP related:

If you liked The Island with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson, give it a look. The RPG is an exploration of what the movie might have been: what if the movie hadn't decided to resolve the clone situation by having some kind of ridiculous SHUT DOWN THE HOLOGRAPHIC GENERATORS action plotline? What are the alternate routes to freedom? And what if the clones had to face up to the fact that their freedom was going to doom morally innocent people?

In other words, the RPG is all about what would have happened if the writers of the movie hadn't totally wussed out of all the moral dilemmas of the story and followed up on all those tantalizing leads. What about Jordan's fixation on children? What about the little baby boy she sees when she calls her sponsor? What, exactly, does the cloning legislation of 2015 provide?

I nearly got into a traffic accident yesterday while thinking about the potential for this thing, and yes, for those of you who suspected, yes, I'm playing this lady. Tell me, what gave it away? The fact that you never see her whole face in any of the icons, or the fact there are SECTION BREAKS in her profile?

(sorry that this is completely unrelated to your post...ha)

I just wanted to pop in and say hello (just friended you, feel uncomfortably lurkerish sometimes when I quietly friend people...). I remember reading all your HP fics a long time ago and adoring your writing style (and your tom riddle and the monkeys on your website), and so am pleased to find you on LJ. :) I haven't had a chance to wander back through your journal to see what else you've written (from whatever fandom), but I'm looking forward to.

So, yes. You're the sort of writer I love: one whose stories just make me swoon, they're so pretty. *moment of fangirling*

Hee. &heart;

(oh, and as for me, i'm jinn, and i draw things primarily in the hp fandom. to put it in one one-sentence-wise. :D)

All right. For some reason, LJ doesn't want me to reply to your comment or, uh I was too dumb and hit the wrong reply. (Guess which one is more likely!)

But. Reply here.

adsflkjg your icon ahahaha!

Ahahah. You know, I'm kind of embarassed about most of those stories. Like you said, their main virtue is that they're, um, pretty. I didn't really pay attention to niceties like "characterization" and "canon" and "plausibility" while writing them, so they mortify the living hell out of me, but I'm glad that they do something for you.

I'm writing mostly Star Wars fic these days and stuff from a challenge meme that I did a while ago, but there's a fairly complete listing here,

By the way. Call me biased, but holy god *_* That is one crazy-good amazing illustration.

slytherin panties should be canon.

:] That's like me and all my earlier art. So almost-mortifying in a strange, ohhh-man sort of way. But I do still love your stuff. --- and honestly, I don't care so much about 'canon' and 'plausibility' when the author is good enough. When the author makes their canon real. And their characters real.

Pretty wins. (my inner-artist is rather influential here, obviously)

Star Wars! I will have to check out your fics. :) I have not read much, and what I have read has generally been kinda 'meh', so... how exciting. :D

And I'm so pleased you like that drawing. Thank you. ♥ It is part of a planned series of Tom Riddle-in-evolution sort of pictures, all inspired by the stanzas of the quoted poem (Anne Sexton, was it? Maybe. One of those women poets I adore...). I haven't done the next two b/c I have artistic ADD, but they're still in-the-works in some manner of speaking - I even have the second all visualized in my head. I just... I love drawing Tom Riddle because he's so easy to make beautiful, you know? And yet I never really draw him. It doesn't make much sense to me, even.

*sigh* I ramble. :]

I kind of think I hit the wrong reply button... but, at any rate, we have the same problem here as before. *laughs* Right then.

My comment is below. here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/rhoddlet/226628.html?thread=1444932#t1444932).

*shakes head* Woe.
